Greetings, and thank you for considering me as your wedding photographer. From the day you book me as your photographer, up until your wedding day I will always be available to answer any questions by phone or email. Please click this link and you’ll be taken to my contact form where you’ll answer a few questions about your wedding and fill me in on your plans. I will get back to you within twenty four hours and if it turns out I am available on your chosen date I will send you a list of my wedding packages.
If I’m not available on your wedding day, I’ll be sure to let you know and email you the contact to another amazing wedding photographer in Newmarket. After you’ve picked out a package the next step is to have a real conversation. We can meet at my home, your home, or any place in the middle. If it’s not possible to meet in person, which will likely be the case if you are booking me from abroad or live far away, we can talk on the phone or Skype. In order to be fair to all of my customers I operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, which means that after you have decided to book my services I will require a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit before I can lock you into my schedule.
The Pre-Wedding Shoot
Are you interested in an engagement shoot? If you already know where you’d like it to be, great! If not, I can always offer suggestions.Great places for shoots are outdoor locations, coffee shops, beautiful city shots, beaches, etc. However, we are by no means limited to these. The important thing is that it’s a place you love, and if you have a special place in mind that’s a bit untraditional I encourage you to go for it.If you’re happy with your engagement pictures I can then create a signing frame with your favorite picture from the day’s shoot for use on your wedding day. I will also make a small number of mini cards that have a selection of images from your engagement shoot on one side, and details to access your password-protected gallery on the other so that your guests can view and download your pictures after the wedding.
Before the Wedding
Unless I have already worked at your chosen venue before, I’ll visit it sometime before your wedding day in order to meet the staff and decide on the best locations for group shots and portraits. I will send you a short questionnaire about six weeks before your wedding date to confirm the schedule for the day, the key parties, and any special considerations such as divorced parents. If you have any special photography requests or restrictions you’d like to make, there will also be a place to leave than information. Once you have completed the questionnaire we can work out a plan for the day that will achieve all the photos you want so that you don’t have to worry about it during your special day. I will also send you a final balance so that it’s all sorted and you can focus on your upcoming wedding.
The Wedding Day
On the morning of your wedding I will arrive and, after consulting you about any last minute details, slip into the background to take pictures of the venue and of your preparations.I will then move on to the groom and his party before you arrive at the church or registry office, where I’ll capture your ceremony.Afterwards we will follow the agreed upon timeline, although I’m always flexible in case of bad weather or other setbacks. Now, at this time we move onto the bridal party portrait session. This can be done at the reception location, grounds permitting of course, or at a predetermined location such as a park, arboretum, beach or urban setting. Most popular wedding portrait locations require permits which I can help you acquire prior to the day.
When it comes to allocating time for bridal party photographs, I suggest an hour, excluding travel. During the rest of the day I will continue to capture candid shots of your friends and family celebrating.I’ll take special care to cover any speeches, the cutting of the cake, and the throwing of the bouquet. I will then take a short break while you and your guests enjoy your meal.Afterwards I will capture your first dance, and then spend some time capturing the atmosphere of the party. After I feel I’ve gotten enough shots of the party I’ll come congratulate you and be on my way. While most of my wedding coverage winds down around 10:30pm, it’s not uncommon for me to continue shoot beyond this time. Let’s face it, every wedding is different, and a wedding photographer needs to be flexible to the individual needs of every couple. If things are running behind on your wedding day (which happens from time to time for what ever reason), and the bouquet doesn’t get tossed until an hour later than planned, don’t worry. I’ll be there to capture it!
After the Wedding
Depending on the time of year and my work load I will have your pictures edited in two weeks, but I will send you a small number of preview images one or two days after your wedding. I will also post these to my blog, so that your friends and family can see them. Once your pictures are finished you’ll be able to view them in your password-protected gallery. I will also post a select few on my blog and my facebook page. Please feel free to share these and tag your family and friends.
Your photos will be sent to you on a DVD. At this time I will start designing the first draft of your album. I will send you a proof so that you may decide if there are any images you want replaced. Once you’re happy with it and everything is finalized you’ll get your album in around six weeks. I would appreciate you visiting my blog, facebook, or twitter to let me know how things are going with you two! Feedback on your experience with my services is always appreciated as well. Once again, my contact form can be found here . I can’t wait to work with you!
